every rain
drop must be braver than the last
because
free fall can't get any easier with time
but maybe
raindrops don't create gravity like we do
their cloud
journey is filled with promises of salvation and warmth
promises
that one day they'd find themselves again in a kingdom of light
so when it
finally comes time to de-ascend
being
reunited with everything they've ever known
is more
than worth it
and their
leap feels more like floating than falling
